1. Goal
The goal of this competition is developing, practicing and demonstrating skills which should be possessed in active job search. Every part of this competition imitates real-life conditions that all employers exercise when employing new personnel.

2. COMPETITION RULES
Only students from secondary schools that are members of MASSUM, and have paid the yearly membership fee can participate in this competition.
  • The competition will be in Macedonian and Albanian language
  • Every school can nominate only one student (for each language) who will take part in the competition
  • Every participant must submit Cover Letter, professional biography – CV and three references which can be written by a teacher, a Headmaster, or by a company that the student has volunteered for. The students will have the opportunity to show their skills, abilities and knowledge; and they must fit the job they apply for
  • The participants can apply for jobs that correspond to their level of education and the vocation they are studying (ex. economic vocation: accountant, technical administration)
  • The Cover Letter and the professional biography – CV, with corresponding indication for the job the student applies for, must be written in Macedonian or Albanian language depending on the competition the student participates in, and they must be sent by e-mail.
  • The references must be brought at the competition
3. ORGANIZATION OF THE COMPETITION
A. Activities
  • Cover Letter – max 50 points
    • Written in A4 format, font size – 12 and printed on white paper;
    • It must refer to a specific job, which corresponds to the level of education and the vocation. The student can address the letter to a real company that has that particular job vacancy
  • Professional biography CV – max 150 points
    • Written in A4 format and not exceeding two pages;
  • Job Interview – max 250 points
    • The job interview will be organized in two stages, unless the number of students is below 20
    • The judges will receive the cover letter and the CV of the candidates beforehand
    • Candidates will be assessed by two or three judges.
B. Assessment

The assessment of the candidates will be carried out according to previously established criteria, given in addition. Each judge will assess the candidates individually and afterward the points given by the judges will be calculated. If two or more candidates have the same number of points, then the candidate with more points on the interview will have advantage over the other candidates. If the result is a tie again, the candidate with more points for the CV will have advantage over the other candidates.

C. Prizes

The prizes will be awarded at a special ceremony. The prizes will be provided by the MASSUM sponsors.

Note: Names of contestants of all competitions, including this one, must be written in the application form filled in by each school. The mentor for the corresponding competition and the application deadline will be announced in due time.
