The great influence that the leadership capabilities of a young person have in the creation of a successful career, as the importance of a good communication, capability of setting goals and solving problems, creational thinking, decision making processes and taking responsibility for them, confidence and team work, was the reason that the project of USAID for the High Schools (Secondary Education Activity Project) do start an initiative for forming the Youth Association of Technical High Schools in Macedonia - MASSUM.

The Youth Association of Technical High Schools in Macedonia - MASSUM was officially created in 2006 and  it's main purpose is to improve the life of the youth, prepare them for leadership, their personal improvement and bigger success in their careers.

MASSUM's Mission is improvement of the personal values of the students and their preparation in the world of competition through leadership, practical work and study.

MASSUM GOALS are:

- To develop the sense of the global meaning of the democracy and it's meaning for the development of the modern society,

- To develop skills for:

• communication,
• tolerance,
• team work,
• solving problems ,
• organization of activities,
• correct use of resources,
• competent and advanced leadership

- To develop a sense of responsibility, confidence and trust in the work and collaborators

- To take part and succeed in organized activities (competitions, performances, promotions)

- To promote themselves in citizens with right choice of professions and with a successful career
